Amazing Achievements of Helane Morrison

Helane Morrison is an American lawyer, businesswoman and a former director of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. She has worked as a chief compliance officer and general counsel at Hall Capital Partners since 2007.


Morrison has worked as the head of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. At the institution, she performed her chores as the regional director and also as the district administrator. She was the head of litigation, securities enforcement and regulatory matters in the Northwest States and Northern California.


Other areas included Oregon, Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and northern Nevada. Morrison has also worked as the head of enforcement for the San Francisco SEC office. She has represented SEC excellently in business, legal, financial communities and other government agencies.


Morrison was born and raised in New York. She got her education at the Northwestern University where she graduated with a degree in journalism. Morrison attended the University of California School of Law. At the school of law, she performed her duties excellently as the editor of the California Law Review. She later qualified as juris doctor, and she was accepted to work in the State Bar of California in 1987.


Morrison has practiced law at Howard which is a law firm based in San Francisco. Other companies she has worked for include Rice, Canady, Nemerovski and Falk &Rabkin.


Morrison was also responsible for conducting internal company investigations. Under Morrison, the office at San Francisco was able to bring many high profile cases. Some of the cases involved a subsidiary of Next Card and McKesson HBOC. Other cases involved allegations of insider trading, defrauding of senior citizens, and violations perpetrated by investment advisers.


Before she joined the private practice, Morrison was serving as a law clerk for the Supreme Court justice known as Harry Blackmun. Morrison works as a board member of the Regional Parks Foundation. She also performs her duties in the Hedge Fund Subcommittee of American Bar Association.

    Her training in these law offices focused on the protection of exclusive securities, business case and SEC issues. She is a standard speaker on lawful and consistence issues that influence private assets and speculation consultants. This is also going to make it difficult and might have been so easy which would not be that easy for all of them too.
