Dr. David Samadi is the Chairman of the Urology and Chief of Robotic Surgery of Urology at Lenox Hill Hospital. David was born in Iran. In 1979, there was a Revolution in Iran and David moved from Iran to Belgium together with his brother. They stayed for six months and life was not easy for them. Afterwards, Dr. David Samadi left Belgium for Northern London. In 1984, David and his brother made it to America where they became immigrants. All along, these two brothers were separated from their family but that did not keep them from making their parents proud.
Dr. David Samadi pushed on with his dream to become a doctor. He finished his high school education in Roslyn, New York. He was very good at sciences. After that, Dr. David Samadi joined Stony Broke University where he acquired a degree in Biochemistry. He further studied for his master’s degree from S.U.N.Y, Stony Broke, New York and finished in 1994.
Dr. Samadi did his postgraduate in Urology training at Montefiore Medical Center and later completed in Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1996. Dr. David Samadi did a proctology oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York in 2001. With the help of Professor Claude Abbou, he successfully completed a fellowship in robotic radical prostatectomy in 2002 in Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil in Paris, France.
His career has been very prosperous. He is known all over the world as one of the best urologists. He has in the lead in the Robotic Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy or RALP, a procedure used in treating men suffering from prostate cancer. He is certified in diagnosing and treating men’s diseases including prostate cancer, bladder cancer among other urologic diseases. He was the first surgeon to use the da Vinci robotic system to perform a SMART surgery technique.
He is a member of Medical Advisory Board at PinnacleCare International. He founded the Mount Sinai’s Robotic Fellowship Program where he acts as the Director. Dr. David Samadi is a lecture as well. Moreover, he is an author and has published articles in the Journal of Robotic Surgery, Urologic Oncology, and Journal of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. David Samadi has given speeches on numerous clinical researches in conferences both nationally and internationally. Being the best prostate cancer surgeon with a passion to help, Dr. David has ensured that as many men acquire diagnosis, treatment as well as therapy in urologic diseases.
